The Casebound Option

As a short-run bookmaker that prints and crafts our products one at a time, we use double-loop binding for our Erie series, wire spiral binding for our Huron and Superior series, and post binding for our Ontario series. All these books can be made in-house and delivered within two weeks of payment. Per your request, we also provide the option of hand-sewn case binding for an additional price and extended production schedule.
Casebound books resemble hardcover books with pages attached directly to a hard spine. While finely crafted and an elegant product, casebound books do not open flat on a desk or hostess’ stand, making it difficult to mark pages near the gutter. Like Huron, Superior and Ontario, casebound covers are made from imitation leather and are gold-foil stamped with the year and title of your choice. Further customizations can be made by discussing your needs with a Hodges & Irvine sales representative.
