News > Family BusinessHodges & Irvine has been a family-owned business for over 50 years, and to some degree it’s family run, as nearly everyone who works here is, or has been, connected to everyone else in some way.
For instance: Susan, our general manager, has been with the company for 21 years. At various times, she’s worked with her mother, her aunt, and her son as employees of Hodges & Irvine. Susan’s sister Kathy still works for Hodges & Irvine after 13 years, as one of our bookmakers. Also in the shop is Derek, an employee of 22 years. Derek’s mother is a sister-in-law to Kathy and Susan’s aunt. Our sales representative Melissa has been with the company for 24 years. Melissa’s brother married Kathy’s sister-in-law. Kathy and Melissa share some family, but not Angela, Melissa’s niece and form designer for Hodges & Irvine for 20 years. That’s just a spotlight of a few of the people here at Hodges & Irvine.
